Jason, the chef behind our menus, is a Chef whose passion for food has been simmering and sizzling for over 30 years. A well-fed crowd is a lively one, ensuring the party keeps going and the festivities continue well into the night. Good food is a good mood!
Over the decades, Jason honed his skills, embracing diverse cuisines and culinary traditions. He embarked on a quest to discover the secrets of authentic street food from around the globe and created menus that he loves - from Southern Fried Chicken inspired by an American Road trip, to Pork Gyros influenced by family holidays to Greece. Good, fresh food served at parties & special occasions!
Creating the Horsebox was a project started during lockdown on his driveway at the farm, remodled and painted by hand, with help from a few tradie friends. These days, you'll find us out at food festivals and private events. As a moveable Horsebox, our trailer can park up wherever you need it- hardstanding or grass. We can run self sufficently or can plug in to a household power supply.
For us, it's not just about creating delicious dishes; it's about sharing our love for food with every customer who walks up to our horsebox kitchen. Having a themed party? We can write menus! With over 30 years experience, Jason has worked in all areas of the catering industry; from high end fine dining establishments in the West End, to large scale outdoor events. He started his career as a young man at an Italian in Croydon where he grew up alongside his brother who is also a chef, working his way up in the kitchen at various London restaurants. He then worked for Virgin Atlantic, as the Head Chef of the First Class Lounges at Gatwick & Heathrow - even now he travels to Virgin's other international lounges to lend his expertise when asked!
You might recognise Jason from his café in Worthing, which he owned for over 15 years, or maybe from his street food van - people have been trusting Jason with their events for many years! Jason has a passion for feel good food, designed to tantalise your tastebuds and fill your bellies. He loves creating menus bespoke to your needs, whether that's your personal tastes or your budget, and his experience with making events happen means he can help you plan the logistics successfully, so you can enjoy the party stress free!
Jason works with a team of experience Event Managers and waiting staff, so you are in safe hands, whatever you need for your event!
